Year 2 Teaching Assistant – Sutton Coldfield – Maternity Cover.

Job Description:

Year 2 Teaching Assistant required for Maternity cover in Sutton Coldfield.

We are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to support a Year 2 class on behalf of our “Outstanding” Ofsted rated client.

Smart Education are looking for a hardworking and committed teaching assistant to cover maternity leave for a 9 – 12 month contract.

Previous experience of being a teaching assistant in primary school is desirable.

JOB ROLE:

As a teaching assistant you will:

• Support the class teacher with the development of the pupils educational and social needs.
• Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Support class teacher with resources and interventions.

DUTIES:

As a teaching assistant you will:

• Support the educational and social needs of our pupils
• Support initiatives decided by the class teacher
• Assist with providing a stimulating classroom environment
• report to class teacher on the development, progress and attainment of pupils;
• support class teacher in maintaining good order and discipline amongst pupils, in accordance with the school's behaviour policy;
• communicate and co-operate with the class teacher and specialists from outside agencies;

Specific details:

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Teaching Assistant.

• £77 - £90 per day
• 8:15-3:30 Monday to Friday
• Sutton Coldfield
