We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor with a strong background in the Industrial/Manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, implement safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance within the Engineering & Manufacturing department.

Description

  • Provide specialist Health and Safety advice to the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
  • Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Lead safety training sessions for staff members.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Participate in health and safety committee meetings.
  • Compile and present health and safety performance reports.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in health and safety legislation.

Profile

A successful Health and Safety Advisor should have:

  • An academic qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver safety training and presentations.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
