Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced SHE Officer on behalf of our esteemed manufacturing client in Sutton Coldfield. The SHE Officer will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and responsibilities for managers, employees, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advisory and supportive actions on new manufacturing projects, facilities changes, and operational improvements.
  • Cascade relevant policies into all areas of the business.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and undertake investigations to change procedures as appropriate.
  • Conduct internal health, safety, and environmental audits to meet company standards.
  • Liaise with occupational health.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH qualified (minimum requirement).
  • Additional certifications in hazardous or explosive material environments are advantageous.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills with an assertive nature.
  • Proven track record of affecting change across a business.
  • Strong analytical skills to process and work with complicated datasets.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
