Conveyancing ParalegalI’m delighted to be working with a leading law firm who are recruting for a conveyancing paralegal to join their succesfull team based in Sutton Coldfield.Job DescriptionThe suitable candidate will work alongside other members of the conveyancing team and will be responsible for handling various tasks related to the conveyancing procedure. The role involves:
  • Answering and directing calls, providing clients and other parties with updates, and conducting any necessary follow-up work.
  • Applying for OS1 and bankruptcy searches prior to exchange.
  • Assisting solicitors with setting up files for exchange and completion, and liaising with all parties to agree on a completion date.
  • Ensuring all documents are received on the file ready for exchange.
  • Conducting a final review of the file before exchange.
  • Requesting funds for completion and liaising with lenders to ensure timely release of funds for the exchange of contracts.
  • Completing replies to requisitions on title.
  • Liaising with, updating, and reporting to conveyancing team members, clients, introducers, brokers, estate agents, solicitors, lenders, and other third parties as directed.
  • Independently managing additional enquiries on sale files.
  • Proactively managing own tasks, daily workflow, post, and emails.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure all matters progress to completion in a timely manner.
Key Skills & Requirements:
  • Experience in residential conveyancing is essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client expectations
  • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
