My client, a well-established and nationally expanding law firm, based in Sutton Coldfield, is seeking a dedicated and professional Private Client Legal Assistant to join its supportive and highly regarded team.

You will assist fee earners in the Private Client department, supporting the team with a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth progression of cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for wills, probate and estate administration
  • Manage client correspondence and provide a friendly, professional service
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and firm-wide standards
  • Handle file management tasks, including opening, updating and closing files
  • Liaise with third parties such as banks, executors and other stakeholders
  • Provide diary management and schedule appointments for fee earners
  • Assist with gathering and sharing information as required to progress cases

You:

You will have the following experience and qualities:

  • Previous experience in a similar legal assistant or administrative role, preferably in a private client department
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and correspondence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and empathetic approach to client care
  • Proficiency in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with the processes involved in wills, probate and estate administration is advantageous
