The Role:Gleeson Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of retailer seeking an experienced E-Commerce Manager to lead a growing team in a new UK market. This is an exciting opportunity to drive online growth and enhance the digital shopping experience for an established retailer in a new market. The successful candidate will have a strong background in eCommerce, people management, and strategic development, working to optimise performance and engagement.

Salary: £50,000-£65,000

Start date: ASAP - June/July 2025

Contract: Full time, perm, full time in office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the eCommerce team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximising efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive online sales and improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, including product managers and marketing teams.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of eCommerce initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage budgets and financial planning related to eCommerce activities.
  • Identify and implement new features and improvements to enhance the online customer journey.
  • Analyse performance data and customer insights to refine digital strategies.
  • Strengthen partnerships with suppliers and internal teams to improve collaboration.
  • Lead the strategic direction of eCommerce within the UK market.

Candidate Criteria:

  • Proven experience in eCommerce management, ideally within retail or a related sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current eCommerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial planning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in the company's UK head office.
