Due to success and growth, the business are seeking to recruit a maintenance engineer or maintenance technician for their operations.

The main responsibility for the role is you will be responsible for the continuous running of the plant machinery, ensuring breakdowns are repaired in a timely and prompt fashion.
Duties;
As a maintenance engineer, the duties are as follows;
Carry out maintenance and preventative maintenance on production and plant machinery.
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic and electrical issues.
- Carry out inspection of plant and equipment as required.
- Implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
- Co-ordination with production shift management to schedule maintenance activities.
- Conduct quality checks on equipment.
Key skills for this role are as follows;
- Multi skilled both mechanically and electrically.
- Previous maintenance experience as a multi skilled engineer.
- Hold an electrical qualification.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Able to use hand and power tools.
- Able to be flexible to working hours.
The shift is a rotating shift (6am to 1.30pm Monday to Thursday - Friday 6am to 1.30pm), then the following week (1.30pm to 9pm Monday to Thursday - Friday 1pm to 8pm)
The first 6 months will be spent working days Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm) due to training.
Salary is up to £46k per annum and overtime at premium rates is available.
The role is near Sutton Coldfield so is easily commutable from Tamworth, Cannock, Lichfield, Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, West Bromwich.
