About the role:

Your role will be split between the Birmingham factory and customer sites, starting with factory training in production and assembly, followed by field training in repair and service. Once trained, you'll work in Birmingham, UK-wide, or globally as needed. This new role offers a varied schedule and growth opportunities, with a 50/50 split between factory and field duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and assist in all elements of production, including assembly, testing, and finishing
  • Visit customer sites to maintain, repair, and calibrate A&S Ltd products
  • Promote and sell our full range of services and products while in the field
  • Conduct customer training on the safe handling and maintenance of our equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of visits, sales, and customer interactions
  • Ensure company tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-maintained and presentable
  • Engage with customers to discuss technical issues and provide commercial solutions

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Background in mechanical engineering with factory and field experience
  • Methodical, eager to learn, and ready for a role where no two days are the same
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and interested in technology
  • Presentable, articulate, and comfortable working with a variety of customers and colleagues
  • Commercially aware, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • A-Level education or 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Clean driving licence, passport, and no criminal convictions
