Job Title: SHE Officer (Safety, Health, and Environment)

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced SHE Officer on behalf of our esteemed manufacturing client in Sutton Coldfield. The SHE Officer will play a crucial role in providing expert advice on health, safety, and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and responsibilities for managers, employees, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advisory and supportive actions on new manufacturing projects, facilities changes, and operational improvements.
- Cascade relevant policies into all areas of the business.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and undertake investigations to change procedures as appropriate.
- Conduct internal health, safety, and environmental audits to meet company standards.
- Liaise with occupational health.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH qualified (minimum requirement).
- Additional certifications in hazardous or explosive material environments are advantageous.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with an assertive nature.
- Proven track record of affecting change across a business.
- Strong analytical skills to process and work with complicated datasets.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
