Are you a passionate Science teacher looking to make a change? Flourish Education are recruiting a secondary Science teacher to start immediately for the full academic year.

Our client is based in Sutton Coldfield with an “outstanding” Ofsted rating, they ensure that both staff and students feel valued, through ongoing recognition of the students’ achievements and the part played by teachers in achieving outstanding outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be confident teaching Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) across KS3 and KS4.

As this is a long-term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach Science (Biology, chemistry and Physics) throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills

Required skills and experience for the Science Teacher role:

  • Specialist in Science 
  • Confident teaching all three sciences (Biology Chemistry and Physics) up to GCSE
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science - Early career Teachers (ECT’s) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisation skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Science.
