About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Team Leaders to join our specialist Learning Disabilities service in Sutton Coldfield. This role involves supporting young adults with autism and other learning disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling, independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within the Home
- Support an open, positive, and inclusive working culture
- Work in a cost-effective manner
- Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Homes' quality assurance programme
- Assist in the design, administration of the evaluation of the care standards and care service provision
- Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues arising
- Assist in the development of the goals and objectives for the care practice
- Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of care implementation and delivery
- Implement action to meet and maintain care standards
- Work in cooperation with members of MDT-Health to maximise opportunities for Service User therapeutic care
- Ensure Residents'/Citizens' rights are protected
- Encourage a model of self-care and Citizens' rehabilitation
- Record relevant activities in Care Plans
Requirements:
- Experience: Min 2-years' experience in a relevant Team Leader position plus a further minimum 2-years of experience working with young adults with severe LD and/or Autism (4-years combined)
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for a minimum of 2 years
- Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a 3 on / 3 off shift pattern, including either day or night shifts.
- Driver: Must be a Driver with a UK licence and access to your own vehicle.
