LTF Recruitment is seeking a composed and patient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) within a mainstream primary school. The position involves offering one-on-one support as well as working with small groups of students.

The SRP is designed to provide specialist and targeted support for children with long term Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is offered on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the successful candidate.

Who are we looking for?

  • Level 2 or 3 supporting teaching and learning in schools or relevant qualification required.
  • Possess relevant experience working with SEN learners in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to support SEN pupils individually, in small groups, and across full-class settings.
  • Hold qualifications like TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management.
  • Be an effective team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues and following the class teacher's guidance.
  • Familiar with maintaining, updating, and reviewing the progress of EHCPs.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, with proficiency in non-verbal methods like Makaton and PECS being highly advantageous.
