The school I am recruiting for are based in south Birmingham and are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience working 1:1.The role is working in a secondary school setting supporting a child with SEMH on a 1:1 basis. The child is keen to learn and loves craft, the school describe the child as very creative, however they can be shy at first but once they get to know people, they can be quite funny, they form strong relationships with adults, and are a pleasure to work with. They need support with their social skills and forming relationships with their peers as well as managing their emotions, their behaviour is excellent, and they follow instructions well.The setting has average EAL and SEND needs for the geographic area and like to provide additional support for students with additional needs, putting support in place such as 1:1 support and a resource base for children with additional needs.
