Learning Mentor | Birmingham, B76 | £90 - £105 per day | ASAP Start

LTF Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join a mainstream primary school located in the Sutton Coldfield area. This role will involve offering individualised support as well as facilitating small group sessions for pupils who require additional assistance in achieving their learning goals. This is a long-term position, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right individual.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
  • Desirable qualifications include TeamTeach or training in Positive Behaviour Management.
  • Strong communication skills, with a preference for experience in non-verbal methods such as Makaton and PECS.
  • Demonstrated ability to support SEN pupils in one-on-one, small group, and whole-class environments.
  • A collaborative team player who can work well with colleagues and adhere to the class teacher's guidance.
  • Proficient in managing, updating, and reviewing EHCP progress.
