Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Shift Pattern: Double Days
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 basic (up to 46,000 with shift allowance)

We're excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Sutton Coldfield. This is an ideal role for someone with a solid maintenance background in manufacturing, looking to advance their career within a niche industry. We are looking for someone with a flexible approach and a passion for continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic issues
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs in the CMM system
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company standards
- Follow maintenance policies and procedures
- Perform regular quality checks on equipment
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns
- Assist with departmental and company-wide projects as required
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Background in manufacturing (automotive, aerospace, or similar industries)
- Electrical or mechanical qualification (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Pneumatic systems
- Additional skills in Welding, Hydraulic Systems, or Milling/Turning are a plus
- Ability to interpret simple technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to solutions, with a focus on fixing issues rather than identifying problems
