Are you an experienced Food Technology Teacher looking for work in Birmingham?
Winner Education are seeking a Food Technology Teacher for a secondary school in Erdington, Birmingham. This role is due to start after the Easter holidays and will be long term on a full time basis. You must have previous experience in delivering to KS3 and GCSE pupils.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure the curriculum is up to date and meets the needs of the students
- Be the sole lead teacher for the department and lead all exam prep and data entry
- Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
- Create a stimulating learning environment
- Support KS3 and KS4 pupils
- Conduct assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
- Ensure pupils are meeting set targets
- Host parents evening when required
- Produce interactive and engaging lesson plans to deliver to the leaners
- Provide additional support and booster sessions to pupils
The successful Food Technology Teacher must:
- Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
- Have previous experience working in a secondary school
- Hold a QTS or significant experience within teaching Food Technology
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
- Have strong resilience and patience
- Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
- Good classroom and behaviour management
