Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 Benefits (DOE)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation in the specialist contracting sector. This role offers the chance to take on a key financial position within a dynamic business, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger Accounting.
Conduct account reconciliations and process payment transactions.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in collaboration with external tax consultants.
Oversee invoice processing, dunning procedures, and cash bookkeeping.
Ensure compliance with tax obligations, including VAT, corporate tax, and customs regulations, working closely with tax advisors.
Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
Oversee payroll accounting and monthly reporting requirements.
Identify process improvement opportunities and support optimisation projects.
Collaborate closely with company stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or AAT).
Proven experience in financial accounting, ideally in a project-based environment.
Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
