A specialist manufacturing company with over 100 years' experience of supplying to the FMCG market is actively looking for mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers to join their team.

***Up to £45,000, choice of shifts, pension up to 7%, 4x Death in Service, 33 days holiday inc. of BHs***

Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal productivity through minimised machine downtime resulting from predictive and efficient reactive maintenance.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Fault diagnosis and correction in a timely manner.
  • Delivering machine performance improvement projects.
  • Implementing technical improvement to machine performance through design changes.
  • Support the development of others with complex fault diagnosis.

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be educated to HNC standard (or equivalent) in mechanical / hydraulics with relevant experience in plastic injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Be able to fault find and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Have a sound understanding of mechanical design.
  • Possess a good knowledge of bearings, linkages, lubrication, loads & tolerances.
  • Be familiar with engineering standards and best practices.
