Are you passionate about early years education with management experience looking for a role in which you will help you take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Deputy NurseryManager to join a vibrant and award-winning nursery in the Nottingham area.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will cover for the Nursery Manager in their absence, ensuring consistent, high-quality care and education across all age groups and the smooth running of the nursery. You will be responsible for assisting in managing the nursery team, ensuring the correct staff-to-child ratios are met at all times, and overseeing the weekly staff rota.

The role will see you supporting the delivery of a creative and engaging early years curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child. Promoting positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in their child’s progress. You willassist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and training to ensure a strong, dedicated team, ensuringthe nursery meets health, safety, and safeguarding standards, including conducting risk assessments and adhering to policies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous leadership or team management experience within an Early Years setting.
  • Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Childcare or Early Years.
  • Strong understanding of nursery administration, including staffing and rota management.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and early childhood education standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.

The role is offered with a salary of £28,000 to £33,000 salary plus competitive benefits.
