Sonographer (Band 7)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Sonographer to join our busy and friendly team. This role is ideal for a well-motivated individual who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and is HCPC registered.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Perform general medical, obstetrics, and gynaecology ultrasound including early pregnancy assessments.
  • Conduct specialist scans including MSK, neonatal hips and heads, head and neck, and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
  • Report on all personal work and participate in the training of student sonographers.
  • Travel between Mansfield Community and Newark Hospitals as required.
  • Actively engage in the creation and development of a Community Diagnostic Centre at the Mansfield Community Hospital site.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Essential:
    • DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography.
    • DMU or Postgraduate qualification in ultrasound at M level.
    • Evidence of further study.
    • HCPC registered.
    • Ability to report on own scans.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Previous NHS experience.
  • Desirable:
    • Specialist expertise in ultrasound, supported by practical experience.
    • Teaching skills.
    • Counselling course completion.
