Overview of the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team. The primary role involves purchasing goods and services for various departments across the county, raising purchase orders, and ensuring smooth operations by liaising with requisitioners and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input data into the BMS/SAP system, raising orders for goods and services.
  • Manage workload through the team's email box, process orders, and distribute approved requests.
  • Reconcile business credit card purchases at the end of each month.
  • Resolve queries with orders, payments, and vendor communications to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of travel claims and invoices using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Chase invoice approvals and process payments promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with audit trails by uploading relevant documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Competent in the use of spreadsheets and databases for data entry.
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer care.
