Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Nottingham for a Business Support Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. Please find a description of the role below

Rate: 14-14.65 (umbrella)

Hours: 37 hours

Location: Nottingham

Contract: 3 months on going



Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Support Tasks: Adhere to defined business standards and processes while maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding.

  2. Advisory Role: Provide guidance to customers, partners, and others on business processes and service operational issues.

  3. Information Management: Create and manipulate various types of information (finance, staffing, customer data) and produce complex reports.

  4. System Development: Develop basic systems and processes to ensure high-quality information management.

  5. Financial Processes: Handle financial tasks including processing orders, resolving issues, reporting, reconciling accounts, and managing cash.

  6. Event Organisation: Organise meetings and events by booking venues, issuing invitations, and taking minutes.

  7. Reception Duties: Greet visitors, provide directions, and assist with basic inquiries.



Key Accountabilities

  1. Information Accuracy: Ensure the quality and accuracy of information managed.

  2. Process Compliance: Verify adherence to correct processes and alert management as needed.

  3. Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with corporate policies and financial regulations.

  4. Operational Support: Work efficiently to support operational services.

  5. General Duties: Perform any additional tasks as required by management.
