Our client is a well-established manufacturer.  They are looking for an experienced person in Administration and Customer Service to join them as a Transport Planner / Logistics Administrator. This is a hybrid role with an option to work from home part of the time, training will be on-site at the company.

This is an ongoing temporary contract, initially for 6 weeks, maybe more.

•    You have extensive experience of using Microsoft Office, especially Excel (SAP would also be an advantage, but is not essential)
•    You have experience in a similar role

•    You live within a commutable distance of Sutton-in-Ashfield

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

•    Hybrid role (a balanced split of working from home, and office based, very flexible, working at home is optional (training will be provided at the company location)
•    Salary - £12.80 - £14.00 per hour, dependent on experience
•    37.5 hours a week, working 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday 

Responsibilities:

•    Liaising with external Hauliers / Transport / Delivery companies to arrange the collection and distribution of the company’s products.
•    Identifying potential cost saving efficiencies when arranging transport.
•    Resolving queries to do with invoices, payments and deliveries.
•    Build and foster relationships with sites, departments, and customers to optimise delivery performance to ensure products are collected and despatched on time, and in full.
•    Timely Coordination of responses to queries from Customers and other departments.
•    Proactively manage booking of domestic and international routes ensuring ample time allowed for booking with the end customer. 
•    Communicate any delivery discrepancy as it occurs and report any potential service failures once identified.
•    Ensure invoicing is clean and accurate, and delays to customer invoicing processes are not incurred.

This role would ideally suit someone who has previous experience of planning, booking, and coordinating deliveries, previous job titles could include; Distribution Coordinator / Transport Coordinator / Transport Planner / Logistics Coordinator.  It could also suit someone who is an experienced Administrator with Customer Service experience (e.g. Sales Administrator / Sales Order Processor / Customer Service Administrator).
