CS Construction Staffing are recruiting for Fabricator/Welders for one of the largest Construction Groups in the UK with over 3000 employee's across multiple sectors and areas.

Our client is looking for experienced Fabricator/Welders in NG17 on a permanent basis

You will:

  • Undertake the fabrication and welding of steelwork from detailed fabrication drawings
  • Undertake the fabrication of small to large assemblies
  • Check components to ensure they meet the specifications of the drawing
  • Carry out self-inspection of work
  • Use MIG welding equipment, cutting equipment, saws, drilling machines and small hand tools to produce quality fabrications to required tolerances
  • Identify any problems or discrepancies along with potential alternative manufacturing methods and reporting to Fabrication Manager

About You:

  • Competency Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • M.A.G.S welding experience
  • Previous work with Stainless an advantage but not necessary
  • Must be able to work in a team and on own initiative
  • Have a background in a similar work environment
  • Use of MIG welding equipment, cutting equipment, saws, drilling machines and small hand tools to produce quality fabrications to required tolerances
  • Experience of lifting, turning, and moving heavy loads with overhead cranes
  • Safety is paramount so a good understanding and awareness of this is required

Technical/Professional Qualifications Preferred:

  • You’ll need to be a Fabricator with extensive experience of mild steel structural steelwork
  • Desirable training: -
  • City & Guilds parts 1, 2 & 3 preferred or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Welding
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Fork truck / Telehandler licence
