Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting our longstanding client in their search for a Fuel Production Electrical Technician.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and producer of hydrogen fuel and power units and they have recently commissioned a new flagship facility based at High Marnham Power station.

Key responsibilities:

  • Installation: Install electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and hydrogen production equipment (electrolysers, compressors) per technical drawings.
  • Testing: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems using testing instruments.
  • Commissioning: Ensure systems meet operational and industry standards, completing documentation.
  • Supervision: Oversee electrical fitters and subcontractors.
  • Maintenance: Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems and hydrogen equipment.
  • Compliance: Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain records, create material lists, and support electrical system design.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning is required.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments and tools.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant electrical certifications (e.g. City and Guilds installation level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is required.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CompEx Ex01-Ex04 certified
