Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting our longstanding client in their search for a Fuel Production Electrical Technician.
Our client is a leading manufacturer and producer of hydrogen fuel and power units and they have recently commissioned a new flagship facility based at High Marnham Power station.
Key responsibilities:
- Installation: Install electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and hydrogen production equipment (electrolysers, compressors) per technical drawings.
- Testing: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems using testing instruments.
- Commissioning: Ensure systems meet operational and industry standards, completing documentation.
- Supervision: Oversee electrical fitters and subcontractors.
- Maintenance: Perform inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electrical systems and hydrogen equipment.
- Compliance: Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain records, create material lists, and support electrical system design.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in electrical installation, testing, and commissioning is required.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments and tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant electrical certifications (e.g. City and Guilds installation level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is required.
- Full UK driving licence
- CompEx Ex01-Ex04 certified
