I am actively recruiting an Audit and Accounts Senior for a forward-thinking 10 Partner Accountancy Practice based in Sutton with over 80 employees. Having successfully trialled a 4-day working week, this forward-thinking firm has made this a permanent policy - and the candidates I have placed here are still enjoying the benefits of a much longer weekend!

The Audit and Accounts Team is around 20 employees in total and the role will be audit focused with the likely split of 90% audit and 10% accounts. You will be responsible for designing and leading audits from planning through to completion, as well as preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.

What will this Audit Senior role entail?

  • Split of work is 90% audit and 10% accounts and tax
  • Working with a diverse client base including manufacturing, construction, hospitality, consultancies, IT specialists, healthcare and more with £multimillion turnovers
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion,
  • Preparing FRS102 statutory accounts for audited clients
  • Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
  • Monitoring and controlling job budgets ensuring that audits are completed within budget
  • Reviewing junior team members' work

The successful Audit Senior will be ACCA or ACA qualified and ideally three years' of accountancy practice experience working in an audit role for a varied portfolio of OMB and SME clients across a diverse range of sectors.
