Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability (LD) Specialist Physiotherapist to lead a dynamic team of Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants at the Sutton Inclusion Centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality physiotherapy services and to take a proactive role in the development of innovative practices within our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and support a team of Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload, including leading postural management clinics, supported living/residential home visits, and pool-based therapies.
  • Specialist Clinics: Provide expertise in Orthotics, Wheelchair/Special seating, and Spasticity clinics.
  • Innovation: Develop ideas and initiatives to ensure the team meets and benchmarks against the Learning Disability Physiotherapy standards from ACPPLD and CSP.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals within the Clinical Health Team and LD Adult Social Care to deliver person-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an LD Specialist Physiotherapist.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to mentor and lead a team, ensuring a high standard of care.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Learning Disability Physiotherapy standards (ACPPLD and CSP).
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and deliver both onsite and remote services, with the majority of work based at the Sutton Inclusion Centre.
