The London Borough of Sutton is looking for a highly motivated and exceptionally organised individual to join our team as Executive Support for the Chief Executive Office. This high-profile role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders in the council and gain valuable insight into the workings of a public sector office environment.

As the Executive Support, you will:

  • Provide strategic administrative support to the Chief Executive and the wider corporate management team.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of meetings, ensuring the Chief Executive has all necessary information.
  • Manage travel arrangements and support in minute-taking during meetings.
  • Support casework and help in managing operational risks, opportunities, and issues.

This is an ideal role for a recent graduate or someone taking their first steps into the public sector, offering you the opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organising and coordinating the Chief Executive's schedule and appointments.
  • Arranging travel and logistics as required.
  • Preparing documents, briefing papers, and presentations.
  • Taking accurate minutes during meetings.
  • Managing ad hoc administrative tasks and providing support as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

This role requires a candidate who can be in the office 5 days per week.
