The role of the Specification Sales Manager - Lighting Switch & Socket will involve:

  • Field sales role promoting a manufactured range of smart building technologies including building management/ automation and lighting controls
  • Working closely with M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers, lighting consultants and end user consumers to drive sales
  • Working in effect as the product champion for these products, you will be responsible for supporting the wider specification and project delivery sales teams (5 field sales)
  • Acting as the technical guru for all projects building management/ automation and lighting controls
  • Cross selling in wiring accessories after lighting controls have been secured
  • Initially the majority of your time on the road on join visits field sales team
  • Once established you will be expected to generate new specification opportunities
  • Focus of this role will be within the hospitality industry (as well as commercial and high end residential)
  • Typical project £1,000 per hotel room- 100 rooms but can be 500-600 room hotels
  • Due to our clients’ name and reputation to the market, this is predominantly an account development position
  • Replying to RFQs
  • Provide expert advice on technology/ work in tandem with technical support team
  • Solving design, functionality and cost-related challenges
  • Conduct presentations/ provide technical support

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Lighting Switch & Socket with:

  • Must have sold smart building technologies such as building management/ automation or lighting controls/ building controls
  • Contacts within M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, AV integrators, system integrators, lighting designers or lighting consultants may be advantageous
  • Technically excellent
  • Must be client facing/ field sales experience
  • Understand closed and open protocol systems
  • Hospitality sector experience may be advantageous
  • Vibrate, energetic and full of life
  • Highly organised and capable
  • IT Literate
