Special Projects Programme Manager

Are you a seasoned property professional with extensive experience in housing refurbishment projects? We're seeking a Special Projects Programme Manager to lead on high-profile projects and deliver exceptional results for Sutton Housing Partnership.

The Role:
  • Project Leadership: Act as the client representative, taking the lead on delivering estate-wide property, building refurbishment, and sustainable retrofit projects ranging from £150k to £25m.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with project boards, clients, and diverse stakeholder groups to ensure projects meet user and stakeholder needs.
  • Budget & Timescales: Establish, communicate, and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
  • Business Case Development: Oversee the preparation of comprehensive business cases to secure funding for approved project scopes.
  • Procurement Oversight: Ensure that procurement processes comply with governance guidelines and procedures.
  • Consultant Management: Lead the selection, appointment, and management of external consultant teams for successful project outcomes.
The Candidate:
  1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of planned/capital works surveying experience in housing refurbishment contracts.
  2. Team Leadership: Proven ability to manage and lead teams of 8 or more technical staff.
  3. Contract Management: Strong background in contract management for housing refurbishment projects, particularly within local authorities or housing associations.
  4. Project Leadership: Experience leading multiple housing refurbishment contracts/projects with budgets ranging from £150k to £25m.
  5. Procurement Expertise: Demonstrable experience leading procurement for housing refurbishment contracts.
