Do you have at least 3 years PQE? Our client is looking for a Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to provide a wide range of legal support which includes but is not limited to giving advice to clients in both writing and in person.

Essentials:

  • At least 3 years PQE.
  • Great communication skills via mail, telephone, email and in-person.
  • Good working knowledge of general software packages, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the client’s management information system, LEAP.
  • Organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and interviewing clients to establish the client’s suitability to provide the necessary advice and services.
  • Onboarding clients and ensuring compliance with AML Policies and Procedures.
  • Advising the clients on legal issues and taking instructions.
  • Conduct the conveyancing process up to exchange and completion.
  • Perusal of an approving all pre-contract enquiries.
  • Exchanging contracts and dealing with all matters prior to completion, and to include thereafter completion of the transaction.
  • Researching and analysing information as relevant.
  • Preparing all legal documents for client or for court preparation.
  • Undertaking all necessary administration including billing client for work completed on their behalf, keeping accurate and informative file / attendance notes.
  • Attending departmental meetings, share best practice.
  • Working in a team within the firm and making cross referrals to colleagues / other departments.
  • Comply with all reasonable requests from the partners, the practice manager or anyone acting on their behalf.
  • Strict compliance with all aspects of Lexcel.
  • Undertake the supervision of secretarial staff, trainees or paralegals,
  • Attending regular training when required to develop and maintain relevant knowledge and skills.
  • General maintenance of client files.
