Description
- Ensure timely and accurate production of management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet, monthly
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly, and that all balances are complete, accurate and differences investigated
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company and management of Cashflow
- Month end accruals, prepayments and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
- Monitoring, processing and approving of daily bank transactions and regular reconciliation of all bank accounts.
- Overseeing sales & purchase ledgers, credit control, credit cards reconciliations etc.
- Completion and filing of VAT returns and dealing with any HMRC enquiries.
- Completion and filing of CIS submissions and statements
- Being the primary contact for the external accountants, providing information and liaising with them to ensure year end accounts and all statutory returns are filed in a timely manner.
- Manage, mentor and develop one team member.
- Running monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
- Management of the auto enrolment pension scheme including uploading information direct to the pension provider
- Processing income, receipts and expenses
Profile
- May be studying towards an Accountancy qualification.
- Experience on CIS Tax Reporting and 3-way reconciliation is beneficial.
- Strong Team Player.
- Very good knowledge on all areas of accounting and cash flow management.
- Strong IT skills with experience of Sage 50 Accounts.
- May have previous experience working as a Finance Manager.
Job Offer
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
