- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with the Academy Policies, ESFA regulations, and statutory financial requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits, maintaining a robust financial control environment.
- Oversee cash flow, treasury management, and financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, SAP Concur)
- Drive continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting.
- Support Headteachers and budget holders in financial planning and decision-making.
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Ideally, significant financial leadership in a multi-academy trust (MAT), education, public sector, or non-profit organisation
- Strong understanding of ESFA funding mechanisms, charity accounting, and regulatory compliance
- Strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and problem-solver with strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a collaborative environment.
