Support Broker

Sutton Council are looking for a Support Broker to join their Brokerage Team within their Adult Social Care Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange a range of care services for customers in their own homes or in bed based residential care at the request of Social Workers. With the Social Worker's support plans, you will arrange packages in negotiation with service users or their representatives in ensuring their wishes and needs will be met
  • Input and maintain financial information using internal systems and liaise with other finance departments and processing teams
  • Ensure any financial actions are taken
  • Ensure that in brokering arrangements the best value to the Council is obtains
  • Manage the throughput of work via a duty system
  • Find and facilitate access to accommodation

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of the Care Sector
  • Knowledge of the Safeguarding legislation and associated policies
  • Experience within brokerage
