Learning Support Manager

Duration: Initially 4 monthsHours: 28 hours per week (4 days a week)Rate: £24 umbrella an hour (£19 PAYE an hour)

The London Borough of Sutton are looking for a Learning Support Manager to join Sutton College, starting in the New Year. This role will be required to work onsite at the College 3 days a week with 1 day remote

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sessional LSA staff, and work with managers to ensure learners who declare any additional learning needs or support are assessed to meet their needs are in place
  • Be responsible for the management of the learning support staff, supporting the coordination of finances and learning resources allocated to the service
  • Record accurate information on the UNIT-e ALS module
  • Conduct appropriate audits and observations of learning support practitioners and learners receiving support

Requirements:

  • A Level 7 Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject
  • Knowledge of key current curriculum developments within FE and in particular additional learning support
  • Experience of managing additional learning support
  • Experience of working in a post-16 educational organization
  • Experience and understanding of the issues related to Additional Learning Support
