Mobile Handyperson / Maintenance Technician
- Location: Covering Surrey, South London, Central London
- Salary: £35,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am - 5pm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a leading Engineering Maintenance Service provider, currently recruiting for a Mobile Handyperson/Maintenance Technician to maintain a portfolio of commercial sites across Surrey, South London & Central London.
This permanent position offers a salary of £35,000 per annum, including a company vehicle, fuel card, and excellent career progression opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out general building repair and maintenance across multiple sites.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Perform weekly site visits to conduct fire alarm tests, emergency lighting checks, and plant room inspections.
- Basic Plumbing: Fix leaks, replace taps, unblock sinks, and ensure water systems comply with L8 regulations.
- Carpentry & Joinery: Changing locks, door closures, hinges, and general repairs to wooden fixtures.
- Painting & Decorating: Small-scale painting, touch-ups, and making good damaged surfaces.
- Flooring Maintenance: Repairing and replacing carpet tiles and other flooring materials.
- Minor Electrical Works: Lamp replacements and minor fault-finding.
- Roof & Gutter Maintenance: Clearing debris and ensuring proper drainage.
- General Fabric Maintenance: Fixing signage, assembling furniture, and other handyman tasks.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with regulatory standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in general building maintenance and repairs.
- Relevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry, Joinery, or Building Maintenance (preferred).
- Strong client-facing skills with a proactive and professional attitude.
- Full UK Clean Driving Licence (essential for this mobile role).
