Aspiring Youth Intervention Worker – LSA Role - Education & TrainingKey Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students, particularly those who may be facing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
  • Assist in implementing youth intervention programs to support students' well-being and personal development.
  • Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Help students develop their communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation skills through interventions and activities.
  • Track progress and provide feedback to the teaching team and youth workers to ensure continued support for the students.
  • Foster a caring and encouraging environment for students, building trust and confidence.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career as a Youth Intervention Worker or in a similar supportive role.
  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those facing social and emotional challenges, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with students in a positive and supportive way.
  • Team player with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the field of youth intervention and education.
Desirable:
  • A relevant qualification in education, youth work, child development, or a related field (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
