Job Role

You will be responsible for producing a full business case for an expanded and integrated Learning Disabilities offer for Sutton. This will take forward work done to date in reviewing the issues and options affecting the Sutton Inclusion Centre offer so that a fully costed business case can be presented for decision to the People Committee in March 2025.

The business case will need to present a clear financial case for change, taking into account both savings already identified elsewhere (from within the Adult Social Care Transformation Programme) and concurrent work such as recommendations emerging from the review of the Meals on Wheels service (that operates out of the inclusion centre) as well as all other interdependencies (including the insourcing of an LATC providing homelessness and housing services in December and future location of the Shared Lives and LD floating support services).

Key Accountabilities

Lead on the development of specific policies and procedures to contribute to continuous improvement in own work area.

Deliver advice and guidance on the most complex matters in own area of expertise to ensure customer needs are met.

Where relevant co-ordinate the work of a team, either formally or as part of a project to ensure individual and team objectives are delivered.

Manage individual projects or systems to ensure work objectives are delivered in line with agreed standards and/or statutory requirements.

Person specification

Experience of having delivered change / projects in Learning Disability services, with a good grasp of the current landscape informing the delivery of day services.

Ability to quickly develop an understanding of complex projects in order to drive them forward under tight timelines.

Ability to understand an issue, situation or problem by breaking it apart into smaller pieces or by tracing the implications of a situation in a step by step way.

Ability to quickly understand the financial implications that drive the need for change and clearly articulate the financial benefits for proposed solutions.
