Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey and making a positive impact in a nurturing environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an independent school in Kingston.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.

Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.

Help students with tasks, encouraging independent learning while offering appropriate support.

Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff.

Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other tailored educational plans.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting confidence and self-esteem in students.

Support the development of students' social and emotional skills.
Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children, ideally in a learning support or educational role.

A genuine passion for supporting students with varying needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude toward fostering student development.

Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.

A relevant qualification in education or SEN (such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is beneficial, but not essential.
