Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We have a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated SEN Learner Assistant to join our team at a dedicated SEND school in Sutton, London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them achieve both academic and personal development goals.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and develop strategies that address each student's unique learning needs.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that focuses on the social and emotional well-being of all students.
  • Assist with classroom activities, contributing to a positive and engaging learning experience for every student.
  • Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and other stakeholders by providing regular progress updates and insights.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN learners is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate a variety of learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are preferred due to the location of the school in Sutton.
