Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs (SEN)?

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Post-16 Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team at a specialist SEN school in Sutton.

About the School

Our school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with autism, severe learning disabilities, and/or significant social and emotional challenges. We are dedicated to delivering a holistic curriculum that supports the development of the whole child, fostering independence and equipping students with the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives as adults.

Through our strong transdisciplinary approach, we collaborate closely with professionals from various fields to ensure that every pupil feels safe, supported, and emotionally regulated, enabling them to achieve their full potential.







Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to the needs of Post-16 students with a range of SEN.
  • Promote independence and prepare students for adulthood through life skills, functional skills, and knowledge-based learning.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver and support individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.


What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Post-16 students, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • Expertise in supporting students with autism, severe learning disabilities, and/or significant social and emotional needs.
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • A commitment to working full-time, Monday to Friday.
