Tutor

This is for multi skills for Bricklaying, plastering and painting/decorating

Seeking experience in at least 2 of the above disciplines

Permanent role

Monday to Friday 37 hours per week

This role is to work at 2 sites – one is TW13 ten mins form Heathrow, and the other is SM2, near Belmont, Surrey

3 days a week in TW13 and 2 days in SM2 location

(with London Weighting Allowance)

Free Parking

Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and Fridays 8am to 1pm

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Construction Tutor for Bricklaying, plastering, painting, and decorating

DUTIES

  • To deliver teaching for Bricklaying, Plastering and Painting and decorating for a caseload of learners
  • Delivering via face-to-face sessions in the classroom environment
  • To work with a caseload of learners in a young offender’s institution/prison. (The learners are in the classes because they want to be, they are not obligated to be as its not part of their sentence, some learners are coming to the end of sentences and looking to gain new qualifications to ease into society.   All safeguarding measures are in place and will not be on your own as Prison Guards outside every classroom and panic buttons in the classroom if ever needed, not that been used before.)
  • Inspire and motivate learners to achieve qualifications on time
  • Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is accurate and supports their development
  • Produce reports based on KPIs
  • Attend meetings

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE

  • Must be Teacher or assessor qualified or specialist qualification at a level 4 or 5
  • Ideally have Teaching or assessing experience in Bricklaying or Plastering or Painting and Decorating or worked in industry, but qualifications in teaching or assessing or someone worked in industry, but gone onto teach other subjects
