Fabricator/Welder, Pipefitter Workshop Foreman

Nutrade Resources is a recruitment agency based in the East Midlands, providing staffing solutions for various commercial and industrial projects across the UK.

We are working with an engineering contractor specializing in the food and beverage industry, who is looking to hire for the following positions on a temporary-to-permanent contract:

Fabricator/Welder, Pipefitter Workshop Foreman

Location: Swadlincote (75% workshop, 25% local/national sites)

Package:

• Full-time PAYE Contract, based on working in both the workshop and national sites (75/25 split).
• Salary: 44,720.00 (21.50/hour) based on a 40-hour work week, paid on the last working day of each month.
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 8 hours Monday to Friday and all-day Saturday, 2x on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
• Travel: Door-to-door travel paid for both workshop and site-based work.
• Company van: Provided for work, including private use.
• Laptop and Android phone: Provided.
• Holidays: 31 days, including Bank Holidays.
• Lodging: Hotel provided for lodge sites, plus 30 per night expenses.
• Shifts: Lodge sites typically run Monday to Friday, but weekend work may be required depending on the workload.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Full UK driving license.
• Ideally time-served, but a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification required.
• Experience as a TIG welder working with stainless steel in the food and beverage industry is essential.
• Able to follow and work with P&ID drawings.
• Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside management to oversee daily operations of the fabrication workshop.
  • Receive material deliveries and order materials as needed.
  • Generate quotes for projects.
  • Progression to a management role is available for the right candidate.
