Due to exceptional growth T&K Associates are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Swadlincote for an experienced Machine Operator to join their expanding team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

The role will include operating the Press Brake/Laser Machine and supporting the Team Leader with the distribution of work and handling queries, as well as covering for them during holidays & meetings. Therefore, someone with previous supervisory or deputy experience is required and experience of operating a Press Brake or Laser Machine.
Machine Operator Job Details & Benefits;
- £12.50 per hour to start rising to £14.61 per hour when permanent
- 24 days holiday per year + bank holidays
- 37.5 hours per week & paid overtime after 37.5 hours
- Afternoon shift - Monday to Thursday 2-10:30pm, Friday 2pm-8pm

Machine Operator Job Details;
- Daily maintenance of machinery and pre-use checks
- Use of production software
- Operating the Press Brake and Laser Machine
- Fibre Laser operation
- FLT operation - training will be provided
- Checking parts against drawings and segregating cut parts into correct packs
- Read and follow drawings
- Weekly machine clean downs
- Deputy team leader duties
Machine Operator Person Specification;
- CNC experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience operating a Press Brake or Laser machine
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous Supervisory or deputy experience is required
- Ability to use basic computer functions
- Ability to read technical drawings is preferable but not essential as training can be provided
