Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking to appoint a qualified, committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Construction team at our Stephen Burke academy.

The successful candidate will support with practical sessions across a range of construction workshop environments with a focus within our Carpentry and Joinery and Bricklaying provision. In addition to this they will also manage the preparation of workshop resources, stock levels and general maintenance of these practical areas within the academy.

Applicants will ideally hold a Carpentry and Joinery or Bricklaying qualification or have experience suitable to these environments, health and safety experience is beneficial. The College welcomes applications from enthusiastic construction vocational specialists in such fields as maintenance, electrical installation, plumbing, carpentry and joinery or brickwork.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
