Long Term Futures is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant at a vibrant school in Swadlincote. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN. This full-time, long-term position offers the potential to become permanent after the initial placement.

In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum disorder, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will play a key role in their development and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans to ensure the needs of each student are met.
  • Support students with their personal care and daily routines, maintaining their dignity and safety at all times.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, social skills, and personal growth.
  • Monitor and track student progress to support their individual development.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD/ADHD.
  • A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to working with children with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage with both students and parents.
  • A proactive, flexible attitude.
