Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a speciality metals manufacturer to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their facility in Swadincote.
Salary- £53,000
Shifts- 4 on 4 off days and night
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the routine electrical maintenance of the plant, equipment and machinery, in a safe working environment in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Other responsibilities of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will include:
- Carry out work orders by the Planned Preventative Maintenance system
- Undertake diagnostic checks in machinery breakdown
- Complete timely and appropriate remedial work to return the plant to service.
- Identify any spare part requirements
- Diagnosing breakdown problems
- Install and commission to recognised standards any new or relocated equipment within the site.
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of available equipment
- Liaise closely with supervisors, planning and line managers to ensure plans, priorities and problems are communicated effectively.
- Provide cost saving exercises
- Maintaining electrical tools, stores and equipment;
- Assist in maintaining the quality control aspects of certification and production program schedules
- Interface with and support other departments in developing continual improvement.
We are keen to speak with Electrical Maintenance Engineers who possess the following:
- Electrically qualified with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Ideally apprentice trained
- Have experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment- ideally heavy industry
- Experience with PPM’s and breakdowns
- PLC fault finding
- A sound working knowledge of modern pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
