Generator Engineer
Measham
£40,835 per annum
We are recruiting on behalf of a client based in the village of Measham, just on the outskirts of Swadlincote and Ashby. Our client specializes in the rental of temporary buildings to an array of industries including construction, healthcare and commercial sectors. Each cabin is prepared to specification and fully serviced to the highest standard before travelling to the customer.
We are looking for an experienced engineer to join the team at the Measham depot to carry out repairs and general maintenance on the in-cabin generators. This role is based on site (with occasional travel to customer sites in case of emergencies) working with the operations team, your day to day will include
* Regular servicing of the generators
* Carrying out necessary repairs, and proactive in spot checking for any potential's risks/breakages
* Travelling to customers sites to carry out emergency repairs where needed
* Liaising with the operations teams in ordering parts and equipment
* Final safety checks of generators before delivering to customer
* Supporting the operations team in carrying out other repair/maintenance/cleaning work to ensure delivery schedule is met.
Your working week is 07:00 - 16:30, 45 hours per week
Overtime may be available during peak times which will be paid at 1.5 x
About you:
ESSENTIAL:
* Live local to site to easily access the depot and it's customers
* Experience of diagnostics and repairs of commercial diesel generators
* Experienced in completing regular generator maintenance schedules
* Ability to install plumbing and electrical fittings
* Willingness to support the operations team in fabrication and cleaning work in down time.
DESIREABLE:
* Experience with Stephill, Genquip or AJC
* Previous welding experience
