Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Measham Redbank team in the position of Production Operative.

The role holder will play an active part in the manufacturing process, to ensure all products manufactured, processed and despatched are of best quality, rejecting unsuitable products, whilst safely maintaining minimum downtime in order to ensure all products are delivered to their designated area in their correct position, to achieve both the process and customer requirements and current output and quality targets. The role requires 100% proactive commitment to zero harm working.

Your duties would include but not limited to the following:

  • Before starting work ensure a daily safety check sheet is filled out for your process reporting any defects immediately to the charge hand/ team leader/ manager or by utilizing the "T" Card System. All Risk assessments and Safe Systems of work must be adhered to and no work is to take place if these are not in place. Deficiencies to be reported to Steve Peach or his deputies before proceeding. To ensure that all substances used are properly labeled and their proper usage is understood according to COSHH data and risk assessment.
  • To constantly monitor each stage of the process and to intervene as necessary according to your training and competences, to ensure that a productive outcome is achieved.
  • Ensure correct product treatment and handling relevant to the particular process and production stage and method, appropriate to the product type.
  • Rectify all stoppages/malfunctions asking for assistance when needed.
  • Ensure all appropriate P.P.E is worn at all times.
  • Ensure all housekeeping duties are carried out as and when required.
  • Report all irregularities and deficiencies in health & safety issues to immediate supervisor or Line manager.
  • To be fully aware and understand Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work related to your job/area of work.
  • Meet output and quality criteria as indicated in the Red Bank Incentive Based Pay Structure.
  • Ensure that material is progressed to the requirements of management
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Zero Lost Time Incidents for the business.

About You:

  • Have special functional knowledge and experience and production techniques.
  • Be able to perform at a high level of work ethic.

The job requires no formal education or qualification, the role does require a minimum of 3 months (12 months for Hand Moulder) training from competent operator ensuring close supervision during the period, and a competency review completed on all duties.
