Are you passionate about food safety and technical compliance? 360 Recruitment are seeking a Specification Technologist to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that product specifications meet all business, customer, third-party, and legislative requirements. Your expertise will support the successful launch of new products, ensure compliance with UK and EU labelling regulations, and manage internal systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy in own brand product specifications and customer submissions.
- Liaise with national account managers and suppliers for timely product reviews.
- Mentor and manage the specification technologist team.
- Oversee the completion of product artwork and packaging compliance.
- Maintain a controlled library of customer and supplier details.
- Support NPD, Process, and Buying teams with food regulations and customer policies.
- Drive food safety culture and support internal and external audits.
- Manage the Quality Management System, traceability challenges, and compliance with relevant legislation.
Essential:
- Food Safety Qualification
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Legal labelling knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage a small team
- Experience completing customer specification
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
